For all of those that appreciated the awesomeness that is Top Gun and Gladiator, I have some great news.  Brothers Tony and Ridley Scott are collaborating to create a piece of automotive genius for the telly.

The Scott brothers have bought the rights to Wallace Wyss’ book “Shelby: The Man, The Cars, The Legend”.  This book is a straight tell-it-like-it-was account of the drivers who competed in Le Mans in the 50s and 60s.

Ridley Scott said: “I grew up in the north of England at a time when Stirling Moss was a hero.  Everyone wanted to be a racing driver.”

He also goes on to say that the project will be hugely ambitious and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to tell the story of those iconic and legendary men who risked everything to win at Le Mans.  “It’s an epic story of courage and ambition and a history of racing which has never been told on such a grand scale,” he added.

So if you’re a fan of high octane, fast paced action and epicness, like from Top Gun maybe, be sure to keep an eye out for this show.
