Ferrari F150... Bellissimo, no?

I’m sure that you massive fans of motorsport are already probably aware of this, but just in case you may have missed it, you should click on this link.

Why?  Well, you know how usually Formula 1 teams will go out of their way to find the most exotic locations to introduce their latest machines to the world?  Ferrari opted to do things a little differently this time round, launching their latest creation, the F150, online.  On the website you can find details and images of Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa’s new company cars.

The F150 is named after the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, which is why you can find an Italian flag motif on the outside of its rear wing.  The rear wing, as a result of a rule change put in place for 2011, is now a movable item and it is hoped that this will create more overtaking opportunities.

The car uses the same 056 2.4-litre V8 engine that has been employed for the past few seasons.  2011’s new regulations have placed a ban on the blown and double diffusers, as well as the F-duct that was pioneered by McLaren.

    they changed the name.

  2. madmotoring says:

Yes, this is true… F150 will be kept as an abbreviation, but the full name of the car is being changed to Ferrari F150th Italia. This comes as a result of Ford threatening to sue Ferrari for trademark infringement, as the Ford F-150 has strong goodwill in the US.
